SunCom delays reporting

BERWYN, Pa.—Regional operator SunCom Wireless Holdings Inc. pushed back its fourth quarter and full-year 2005 financial report by two weeks. The company had been slated to make its results public Thursday, but now says it plans to make its announcement on March 16 before the market opens.

Steve Somers, director of investor relations for SunCom, said that the company had hoped to accelerate its usual mid-March reporting, but that its annual financial audit was not yet complete. He said that was the only reason for the postponement. SunCom’s stock was trading down 3 cents per share after the news at $1.75 per share.

SunCom provides cellular service in the Southeastern U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
