WALTHAM, Mass.—Adaptix 1.0, which enables mobile workers to perform job functions on smart phones, two-way pagers and handheld computers in connected, intermittently connected and disconnected modes, began shipping last month its developer, iConverse, announced.
Adaptix provides a completely visual drag-and-drop development environment for rapid development of fully functional Web and Java-based mobile business applications for thin and smart clients. These include applications that synch, queue, cache and interact with server side logic. Data delivery to the server side network is guaranteed.
Among other features, Adaptix integrates with application servers and security and load balancing technologies. It also possesses battery management capabilities for intelligent network detection and automated connection.
