Globalstar roaming offered in 30 countries

NEW YORK-Globalstar reported that its roaming satellite telephone service is commercially available between nearly 30 countries in North America, South America and Europe.

The company said roaming agreements in Australia and Russia, as well as other countries in Europe and South America will be added by the end of June.

“As more and more countries are added to our roaming network, Globalstar is fulfilling its promise to be the only truly global mobile telephone service that works in the vast areas of the globe beyond the reach of cellular,” said Anthony Navarra, president of Globalstar.
