ORA founder Cooper passes

LOS ANGELES.-Gershon N. Cooper, chief executive officer and founder of ORA Electronics Inc. in Chatsworth, Calif., died Jan. 22 in Los Angeles. He was 50.

Cooper founded ORA, previously known as Alliance Research Corp., in 1974, four years after he immigrated to the United States from his native Israel.

Passionate about electronics, Cooper held several patents and developed numerous accessories for wireless communication devices.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, and two daughters, Rona and Sharin.
