METROCALL MAKES MANAGEMENT CHANGES

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Metrocall Inc. has made several changes in its senior management team to address the integration of AT&T Wireless Services Inc.’s Advanced Messaging Division.

Thomas P. Matthews, the executive who negotiated the five-year distribution agreement aspect of the merger, has been named senior vice president for corporate and business development. He will focus on strategic business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, joint-venture opportunities, delivery of innovative messaging content, new service offerings and development of next-generation wireless messaging services.

Donald M. Clarke, formerly regional vice president for the Southeast, has been promoted to corporate senior vice president. His new responsibilities will include all integration activities, including that of AT&T’s paging unit.

Mark Steven Dipple will replace Clarke as regional vice president for the Southeast. He was formerly vice president for sales and distribution in that region.

All appointments are effective Aug. 1, prior to the closing of the AT&T deal, expected Sept. 30.
