ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Motorola Inc.’s Cellular Infrastructure Group announced that its first Rapid Deployment Vehicle was deployed and is operating in China’s Sichuan Province.
The deployment is part of a $10 million contract Motorola CIG signed with China’s Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications last October. The RDV system is a complete wireless telephone system mounted on a truck and based on Motorola’s Total Access Communications System product line.
The network interface unit, which provides local switching and connects the RDV into the landline unit is integrated into the RDV system.
