Aruba Networks buys security unit of Network Chemistry

Aruba Networks Inc. will acquire two mobile security product lines from Network Chemistry to complement its existing offerings, the two companies announced.
The deal-terms were not disclosed-transfers Network Chemistry’s RFprotect and BlueScanner products to Aruba, which is located in Sunnyvale, Calif. According to Network Chemistry, based in Palo Alto, Calif., the divestment allows it to focus on its growing IT management business.
The products in the deal include RFprotect Distributed, RFprotect Mobile and BlueScanner. RFprotect Distributed is a wireless intrusion and detection system that automates threat detection, attack prevention and policy enforcement. RFprotect Mobile is a portable analyzer for site surveys, security assessments and incident responses in wireless networks. BlueScanner is a portable Bluetooth discovery and vulnerability assessment tool.
