Brazilian oil giant Petrobrás signed an agreement whereby its fiber optic network will be used to meet part of the requirements set out by the country’s national broadband plan.
The deal with state-owned telco Telebrás – the public sector body accountable for the execution of the broadband initiative – had been discussed for some time and has finally been signed, according to news reports.
