NetCracker scores OSS expansion with Maxcom

OSS expansion deal bolsters Mexican service providers reconciliation, workforce management

Mexican quad-play communications provider Maxcom signed a deal with NEC and its NetCracker subsidiary to bolster its current NetCracker supplied operating support systems platform in a move to “improve business agility, infrastructure deployment,” and inventory and network synchronization.

The agreement calls for NetCracker and NEC México to provide a pair of OSS solutions in the form of their Discovery and Reconciliation and Workforce Management platforms to Maxcom’s already installed NetCracker OSS solution. The current deployment includes NetCracker’s Resource Inventory, Service Inventory, Service Information Management, Service Order Management, Service Activation and Service Problem Management.

NetCracker also will provide its professional services suite that includes analysis, design, configuration, data migration services, integration and testing.

Financial terms of the deal were not announced.

The latest deal continues NetCracker’s string of recent service provider wins, having announced in May that regional telecom operator C Spire went live with a NetCracker billing platform; broadband service provider Consolidated Communications commercially launched NetCracker’s OSS solution in a move to consolidate service fulfillment systems; and in April when telecom giant Telefónica implemented its business support systems platform supporting seven Latin American operations.

RCR Wireless News recently dug into how OSS and BSS systems are used by CSPs as part of our “How it Works” video show.
