5G, Wi-Fi and the IoT – HetNet Happenings: Episode 28

On this episode of HetNet Happenings, RCR Wireless News Managing Editor Sean Kinney is joined by industry experts to discuss the intersections of 5G, Wi-Fi and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Kinney is joined by Franklin Flint, the chief technology officer for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and Liam Quinn, a vice present and senior fellow at Dell.

Topics discussed include whether commercialized 5G mobile networks are needed to fully support the promise of the Internet of Things, as well as what place, if any, Wi-Fi will have in a fully networked society.
