This week Chris Hare speaks with Jason Marcheck of Current Analysis, Jason is Research Director for the Current Analysis Service Provider Infrastructure service. Jason and his analyst team monitor and evaluate activities in the markets related to the infrastructure space.
Jason and Chris talk about the IoT impact on network, spectrum, and particularly infrastructure investment.  IoT has the potential to gum up the traffic on current networks driving additional investment either in more advanced networks, or, subject to available spectrum to additional networks for particular types of communication.
Creating a 2 freeways for information may make help the traffic but could also make the utility nature of the internet a pay to play environment for years to come.
