RCR podcast: Best Buy bets on Apple

Best Buy is playing on both sides of the fence when it comes to mobile devices.
I’m Martha DeGrasse with the RCR Podcast brought to you by telecomcareers.
Best Buy launched the Samsung Experience Shops inside its stores a couple of years ago and now it will be the first big box retailer to carry the Apple Watch.
The Watch only recently became widely available in stores, because for several weeks after launch Apple could not keep up with demand. The jury is still out on whether the Watch will be a hit with consumers, but Best Buy clearly does not want to miss out if the watch takes off.
In other news, AT&T may be poised to start spending more on its wireless network. Construction crews have been waiting for the carrier to get back to work, and now that AT&T has closed on its purchase of DirecTV, the carrier is talking about other expenditures again. But AT&T says some of its wireless spending will happen south of the border in Mexico, bad news for construction crews who want to get back to work here.
Well if you’re looking for a job or looking to hire someone, telecomcareers should be your first stop. The industry’s leading job board has thousands of resumes and hundreds of openings from companies like AT&T, Verizon and MasTec.
