Sprint CEO calls antagonistic tweeter a racist

It is becoming abundantly clear that not even CEOs of major carriers are immune to a good old-fashioned Twitter battle.

The latest battle prompted Sprint CEO, Marcelo Claure to call an antagonistic tweeter “an ignorant racist.”

The war of words started when an antagonistic tweeter out of Los Angeles said that Claure is “so outclassed that he can barely speak the language.”

This apparently struck a chord with Claure, a Bolivian immigrant for whom English is his second language. Claure fired back saying, “You are an ignorant racist. You should be ashamed of yourself and your dumb comments.”

But things didn’t end there. Schulte responded to the allegations of racism with this tweet.

The Sprint CEO responded saying in part, I’m not going to waste my time with you. People understand me all over the world.”

Schulte, a claimed former Sprint customer who switched to T-Mobile US, also said that Claure is failing as a CEO because he is difficult to understand. Although he did admit that the comment was an exaggeration.

Another tweet from Schulte said “fluency has nothing to do with race,”

This is not the first social media battle for Claure who joined Sprint last August. He has also exchanged words with another outspoken CEO from T-Mobile US, John Legere who has a history of antagonizing Sprint.

Legere recently had a back and forth with Donald Trump about the quality of T-Mobile US’ service.

In an interview, Schulte complimented Legere as a social media savvy, skilled communicator.
