Video: Uploading those Vegas selfies

Global Wireless Solutions brought its network testing capabilities to CTIA’s Super Mobility Week — and if you’re looking for the fastest places in Las Vegas to upload selfies, the company can tell you.

GWS does walk- and drive-testing as well as offering a mobile application on commercial wireless devices that collects network information for analysis. It has tested areas including the New York City subway system.

In Las Vegas, GWS tested performance across the four national carriers for upload speeds and more, and aggregated the data to figure out which locations offered the fastest and slowest speeds for selfie uploads.

According to GWS, the 10 fastest locations for selfie uploads were:

1. The Little White Wedding Chapel — 3.3 seconds

2. The Stratosphere Tower — 3.5 seconds

3. The Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental — 4.0 seconds

4. Ghost Bar at the Palms — 4.3 seconds

5. The “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign — 4.4 seconds

6. The Roller Coaster at New York, New York — 4.4 seconds

7. Vegas Vic (the neon cowboy) — 4.6 seconds

8. The Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris — 5.0 seconds

9. The Bellagio Fountains — 5.5 seconds

10. The Fremont Street Experience — 5.5 seconds
