Workforce News: Employment changes for Multi-Tech Systems, FiberLight, Inmarsat

The telecommunications industry saw a few employment changes this week, including talent being welcomed to the management team at Multi-Tech Systems, a chief executive office appointment at FiberLight and a new chief financial officer at Inmarsat.

Multi-Tech’s new management additions
Earlier this week, Multi-Tech Systems announced the addition of several new employees on the company’s management team. Rod Landers was appointed as chief executive officer, Scott Wilken received the chief technology officer position, Daniel Quant was named vice president of product management and marketing and Bryan Eagle was appointed as vice president of business development and communications. Each individual has previous experience in the industry and will assist in the reshaping of Multi-Tech’s market strategy and product lines.

FiberLight welcomes chief executive officer
Fiber optic network solution provider FiberLight recently named Paul Pierron as the company’s new chief executive officer. Pierron has worked in the telecommunications sector for 39 years and will utilize his vast experience to further the organization’s mission of providing customized fiber and transport technologies to urban customers. Pierron is being promoted from within, previously serving as FiberLight’s chief operating officer. In his new role, Pierron will handle the company’s business strategy and cultural vision through revenue expansion efforts. He will also be in charge of FiberLight’s new transport product line introduction and other growth projects in Texas.

Inmarsat names new chief financial officer
Late last week, global mobile satellite communications provider Inmarsat announced the decision to add Tony Bates as the company’s new chief financial officer. He will join the organization in his new role on June 2. Bates has considerable senior officer experience in telecommunications, serving as CFO of hibu and chief operating officer at Colt Group. Inmarsat CEO Rupert Pearce said he is excited to welcome Bates.

“Tony brings with him a wealth of operational and financial experience from a diverse range of businesses and industries, which will be of great benefit to Inmarsat as we continue to grow and develop our activities,” Pearce said.
