MWC 2013: LTE-A, small cells, software top infrastructure trends at MWC

RCR Wireless News spoke with Daryl Schoolar, principal infrastructure analyst at Ovum, to get his impressions of the recent Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. Schoolar noted that with some relief a number of topics he predicted would garner attention at the show did indeed come true. Those topics included a growing movement by infrastructure providers towards LTE-Advanced enhancements, small cell development and software integration in order to further maximize the return on network deployments.

Schoolar also provides a nice tip for those that might have missed the event this year, but are planning the Barcelona/MWC pilgrimage in 2014.
